Your privacy is very important to us. It is Web Mastered Ltd.'s policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect from you across our website and other sites we own and operate.
This privacy policy page explains how we at Web Mastered Ltd., store and process information about our clients using our services and the visitors of this website. Your continued use of this or any of our other websites will be regarded as acceptance of our practices around data and personal information.
When you visit our website, our servers automatically log (locally or on another third-party server) the standard data provided by your web browser. This data is considered “non-identifying information”, as it does not personally identify you on its own. It may include:
We use Sentry to collect error and performance monitoring data by implementing it into the core of our software. Sentry allows the Web Mastered team to track errors in code during run-time as well as monitor code performance, allowing us to push fixes and optimisations during production. All data that is logged by Sentry is stored on their servers under the Web Mastered Ltd. account.
Plausible is a privacy-focused software (fully compliant with GDPR, CCPA, and PECR) that collects website analytics without the use of cookies or associating data with users. Collecting website analytics is crucial for keeping track of the success of a website, but we consider visitor privacy equally as important, hence we use Plausible instead of alternatives such as Google Analytics. Plausible is hosted on our own servers, data that is logged will be stored there too.
We use Cloudflare services to protect our and our client's websites. Cloudflare offers a powerful firewall for websites so that when a domain name is pointed to Cloudflare, the service handles all web traffic and blocks anything unsafe. Cloudflare logs all web traffic and the data that is provided by the traffic's web browsers on their servers under the Web Mastered Ltd. account.
For our clients, we try to use software that collects the least amount of data and aim to ensure it only collects data that is considered “non-identifying information”. The data that is collected by the software is collated and shown to our clients via the Client Portal. While users can completely opt-out from us implementing Plausible, Sentry, or Cloudflare on their websites, they can also request the implementation of another data collection service.
To deliver better products and services to our clients we collect and store personal information. This data is considered “identifying information”, as it can personally identify you. We only request personal information relevant to providing you with a service, and only use it to help provide or improve this service. The data we collect is listed below.
For increased safety and privacy, we have chosen not to store our client's billing information on our own servers. Instead, any of the billing information that our clients provide will be collected and stored in the Stripe payment infrastructure. We give our clients the option to opt-out of using Stripe in favour of handling payments physically at a cost (payment handling & admin fees apply).
For the information that is collected on our Web Mastered Ltd. website, we may use a combination of identifying and non-identifying information to understand who our visitors are, how they use our services, and how we may improve their experience of our website in future. We do not disclose this information publicly.
While we do build the software for our clients, the data that is processed on our clients' websites are each respective client's full responsibility. During the development phases, we provide advice regarding collecting information by safe, fair and lawful means, with the visitor's knowledge and consent. We also hold the right to refuse the development of information processing software that we deem unfair and/or unlawful.
The data that is collected on our client's website via our implementation of Plausible, Sentry, Cloudflare and/or another service/software may be shared in full or partially with the clients for whom the data is intended. This will be carried out via the Client Portal or by other means, such as through an email report, web report, etc.
We only retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide a service, or to improve our services in future. While we retain this data, we will protect it within commercially acceptable means to prevent loss and theft, as well as unauthorised access, disclosure, copying, use or modification. That said, we advise that no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and cannot guarantee absolute data security.
We do not sell or rent your personal information to marketers or third parties. We will refuse government and law enforcement requests for data if we believe a request is too broad or unrelated to its stated purpose. However, we may cooperate if within the following reasons:
We otherwise do not share any personally identifying information without your explicit consent to third parties for business gain, personal gain, or any other reason other than for delivering your requested services and products.
This privacy policy only covers Web Mastered Ltd.'s own collecting and handling of data. We only work with partners, affiliates and third-party providers whose privacy policies align with ours, however, we cannot accept responsibility or liability for their respective privacy practices.
Our website may link, in various places, to external sites that are not operated by us. Please be aware that we have no control over the content and policies of those sites, and cannot accept responsibility or liability for their respective privacy practices.
